Ballpoint pen, 2010.To get my mind off the very detailed and thus eventually annoying painting I'm working on at the moment I started doodling around with a ballpoint. I made the sketch of Ryuk and after that I drew Light, and then I was like 'why not fill the whole sheet while I'm at it'. Not very productive for that other painting but fun to do. I used some pictures from the manga as reference (because I've never drawn Mello before, and Near only once).
My scanner hates me. Sorry for the scan not being very clear/sharp.

really good, it's great how you picked so many references and made an entirely new image. and with a pen, that's quite hard to do this accurate
