Walter lives in the Thaumaturgyverse , the same universe as Lunox , Sadie , Alan , Maxim , Esther , Patrick , Zachary and Nathaniel .

In this universe, the more magic power a person has, the more they are respected by the others. Walter is one of the most powerful ones, so no one really wants to get in his way. He is very pessimistic, calm, inteligent, patient and also tired all the time because of chronic insomnia. In one of his battles between his team and his rival's team, his leg was injured. He has a cane to help him not limp so much.

He is working in his father's company for selling magical accessories, but he would like to be a painter. He really likes to draw and paint, especially naked men bodies which he did not consider strange, just his parents did, until he found out he is attracted to the same gender.

He comes from a strict (and sometimes even abusive) family full of skillful magicians. He do not like them much, he rather spends his time alone.

But there is a problem – Maxim, the cat who is determined to cause problems to all highly-powered magicians. To fight him, Walter assembled a group of mages and called the team Insomniacs, because he usually works at night due to his illness. He is their boss now. The only thing they do is trying to defeat Maxim in order to protect themselves.

But Maxim is also very smart and kept escaping them. Walter's rival Alan (boss of the Dreamers) had the same issue, so one day he went to Walter and asked him to unite their teams, since they wanted the same thing. Walter surprisingly agreed and that was the creation of the Insomnia Dreamers.

Some time later, Alan and Walter fell for each other and soon became a couple.
