When you say they can be dangerous if they want to protect someone they care about, does it mean they know how to fight/attack other creature naturally to protect other member of their specie or are they raised to be like a hunting pet or something?
I'm asking because one of my future OC is a Beastmaster and I was thinking they could probably be a good pet for him!

Well, since they live in the forest, they can fight naturally. I don't really think about them as a pet. But it's a good idea, go for it!
(They are just really hard to tame)

I was thinking that when he was young, my OC could have found a baby one who was starving because of the death of his mother (it's sad, I know) and took it with him as a pet and a friend.
