Description Last summer, my family and I took our second trip to Tennessee. Our favorite town is downtown Gatlinburg, and this time we decided to visit it at night. What a blast that was. Everyone is out enjoying the food and activities. We rode the sky lift as it got darker and looked down on the city lights. Way high up in that sky lift, choosing to ride solo and staring at the silhouetted mountains as I felt the cool summer air on my bare feet, I felt happier than I had in years. This photo is my tribute to that moment.

This photo underwent minor enhancement. Sorry about the noise.

Oh man, another favourite subject matter of mine: city lights against a dusk sky. Is that dusk? Or is dusk a bit lighter. I get confused. Anyway, man do I love the progression from light to dark, and all those lovely little lights decorating the darkness.

This place you went to is starting to sound really amazing. I want to go there!

Again, loving the description you wrote for this. I feel cool and peaceful just reading about it! I think I will have really lovely dreams tonight since my head is now full of all those lovely thoughts!

Haha, I don't know what qualifies as dusk, but we tried to time that ride perfectly so that we would be riding it AS it was getting dark.

I also love how the mountains naturally create that gradation from light to dark.

Aw, it really was such a great place. I'll always treasure it because we don't often get to do stuff like that.
