Description
This is a picture of Eilean Donan Castle near Dornie in the Scottish Highlands. The castle is quite famous and has been featured in several movies. However, a point of particular note is that it is still lived in by a member of the Macrae clan. It's a fantastic place to visit especially if you are hoping to spend some time on the Isle of Skye.Related content

Maybe you can some day. Tours head out that way to Edinburgh fairly regularly. Definitely not a completely unattainable goal either....sometime in the future maybe.

My gosh that place is huge!!! Was this a tour stop that allowed you to get such a picture from across the water? It must be so cool in person

Yeah the tour stopped across the way on the way out to the Isle of Skye and stopped at the castle on the way back. It is pretty neat but not really all that big comparatively. Edinburgh Castle which isn't super huge either is a million times bigger and is way up on a hill which is amazing!
