I am so happy with how this piece turned out!! I wanted to do my redesign of Cadence, along with draw a screenshot from the show, so here's both!Ever since Cadence was introduced, I absolutely loved her design and color palette. So, just like most of the others, I tried to stick close to her original design.
-For me, I love the backstory of Cadence being a pegasus prior to becoming a princess, so I gave her feathers at the base of her tail like a pegasus. Whereas the other three princesses (Celestia, Luna, Twilight) don't have these feathers. But I do like the idea of Flurry Heart (Cadence's daughter) having the feathers. I also made Cadence's horn slightly smaller.
-I have the idea that Cadence doesn't have any purple in her coat or wings until after she becomes a princess, which is why there's not a lot of it especially in comparison to Twilight's. I also changed the purple to lean more towards pink than her original design. Also the small amount of purple on her nose is in the slight shape of a heart!!
