Description
This is Pallet Town, from the GBA game Pokemon: Fire Red recreated in an isometric perspective. I did all the objects myself rather than copying those that would work from the original because of the different scale.I'm not sure how many colours it is, but it does only use colours from the original image, to keep it authentic as possible.
Anyway, I hope you like it. It took me a few weeks on and off to do it, and I personally think it is the best piece of pixel art I have done, but of course criticism on how to improve it is always appreciated!

This just gave me a great game idea: Make a PokΓ©mon game where you can explore all the regions and make it isometric!

Brilliant, brilliant. After playing Mega Man Battle Network, this is the only way I can play game overworlds these days. Not only that, this was a perfect match between my childhood years of Pokemon Blue and my not-too-long-ago days of BN. Frankly, isometric is the best style, hands down.

The "Map Design" in any Pokemon game sucks; but your iso view of the same is very interresting!

Thank you, it's unfortunate that the isometric view is only really suitable for strategy games like FF:Tactics, I think it can make for great art.

Yeah, I wouldn't really call it a town... I don't even think it qualifies as a Hamlet, it's so small!

Haha. a while ago I started doing the exactly same thing. The house I made is almost identical to this one^^
Did you consider the "squares" which the game is made of (you know... The "steps") when you made this?
Whatever method you used, and no matter how much time you used on this one: I love it. You should make more, even though it takes up hell of a lot time to make it...
Gotta fave 'em all!

I'd be very lucky if this hadn't been done before lol, I imagine I am one of many!
As for the squares, I sort of considered them, I tried to make the dimensions as accurate as possible, but it's not perfect.
Thanks for the compliment! Funnily enough I actually decided about an hour ago that I would do some more, and have literally just started on route one! You're right though, it takes ages, so expect part two sometime around Christmas

*Applaudes*
If you ever think about giving up... Remember: There's a guy in Norway who is looking forward to the day it's done.
It's going to be completely awesome!!!

No problem, and don't worry, I know pixel art at least takes a hell of a long time lol
