This has some amazing detail. From the different textures between the fur and metal, to the execution of light sources, to the dynamic flow of the pose, this shows attention to detail. Also the diagonal achieved from the background really makes the piece move.

This was brilliantly executed, and a well deserved favorite.

I have GOT to ask you this...

in Photoshop, what do you normally keep your Opacity and Flow set at for your brushes? Bugmeyer suggested 60% / 40%, but I kind of want to see what others might say.

Reason I ask is because I see how CLEAN your digital paintings look when done in Photoshop, and I'm so trained on OpenCanvas and ArtRage, with the painting methods used in those, but I still can't achieve the same effects in Photoshop, those I see others that CAN.

Help? *begbegbeg*

Oh I'm so sorry I didn't see this earlier. For Opacity and Flow setting well it was mainly at 100/40 for me as a base.
But to get a smooth shading I do multilayering. I always have at least 2 layers of overlay and with a brush set to 30/10 to do the job.
this process takes time but always paid good result to me.

Heh, it's okay! Comments tend to get lost in my message center as well.

Hm, I'm going to have to try that out. I have more painting to do tomorrow, and will see if your technique works better than the one I'm trying to achieve in ArtRage Studio using the oil brushes ( AAAARGH! It's works TOO much like oil paints! Difficult to get a nice DARK color without the paints blending like crazy. XP ).
