This picture was taken place when Blask rescued young Kate in the middle of a sand storm. Kate was the sole survivor from a crashed cargo vessel. When Blask found her she was about to be kill by the local raiders that was looting the crash site.

Blask Background story:

He was once a raider himself but he has a change of heart when he was saved by the villagers after being wounded in a fighting with the Guardian Hunters.
When the villagers found him he was wearing a stolen hunter's uniform so he could shelter himself in a care of the surviving villagers that he and his friends just raided. But after seeing how suffering that he and his comrades cause he decide to quit his life as a raider and live on commonly. But peace isn't what you can find so easily in Xennos Prime.
Just 2 months later the very same group of raiders has return and this time they where pissed over there loses in the last raid. So they decided to just kill anyone they find and take anything they could carry. In respond Blask has join up with the group few male villagers to fend off the invaders as long as possible until the Guardian Hunters will arrive.
When Crest arrived he and his elite hunters annihilate the entire remaining raiders in matters of minutes. By judging from the scale of the battle he was amazed to see that the village was still perfectly intact. But when he looked up at the last standing machine-gun nest he suddenly knew why. Blask was sitting there half bleeding to death both of his legs were ruined beyond repair and his right arm gone while his left arm still holding a stationary MG. No ordinary modern medication could save him from such conditions. With this leave Crest only last option he put Blask in the Project Veteran.
10 years later with his Bio-mechanicals legs, right arm and some of his torso powered by newly designed self-repairing NanosHeart implantation which Rash has invented with his Omega Nanos technology he has join the ranks of “The Blade” Guardian hunters. And Now with the “Never give up until the dying breath” motto he quickly become one of the guild most feared and respected elite hunters.
