If I were to answer you personally, I am not your average person who pairs just because. I simply ship them because I thought (and might as well throw observed) as a personal opinion that they share a hearty relationship (or friendship whatever you may call it) similar to what you see with a guy and girl that you'd support for them to be together because insert reason, just of different gender. Now to answer what is up with the fandom. It happens with every other fandom.

Hey, it's not that I have a problem with parings like this one. I just feel like this seem totally out of character for these two. I just can't see Ruby and Weiss going in this direction in the series. I don't believe that any signs other than close sister like bonds have ever been displayed so far between the two of them so when I see this kind of thing it really makes my brain hurt.

oh, no, my apologies for having to sound outright or something of the sort, I was only stating my idea like you are to me. If you see them that way, then we don't mind. I can see them as friends or as far as that, it's just my preference to see them in another light. If it bothers you, you can always ignore the content that shows it (not saying that in a bad way).

Awkward? In what kind of moment though? If I were to think of it, I don't think I find anything awkward. I think I've read a handful of fanfics sewn with the familiarity of what ifs, and even though there was, I think it would be resolved in their world. If I see this kind of relationship, I don't see ReNora (Ren and Nora) awkward, if that's what you mean?

Sorry, I didn't mean it that way. All I was trying to say was that some pairings might turn out to be disappointing like what happened to Jaune and Pyrrah. That was the most soul crushing event the show has shown so far.

Soul crushing, agreed. But one of the strongest moments I believe. It answered the people that loved the ship and well, had its downfall, but still considering though that it was finally Canon. I'm not sure If I find it disappointing, I think it just strengthens the story build some more along with the character Jaune and the others. At least the show displayed a good side that heroes does indeed die, crushing morale and thus rebuilding them with hardships. I guess it's what the good ole shipper does, support them, observe how it works out and hope for the best that it doesn't get disappointing, just like supporting Jaune and Pyrrah till death do them part.

That I can totally get behind. I am curious though. Jaune was the first person that Ruby met and socialized with at Beacon academy. Jaune and Ruby were both seen traveling together with Ren and Nora as a 4 person team. Do you this means that Ruby will end up growing closer to Jaune as a character?

Closer sure. But if it were more than that I can't find it all too good. I would have found it acceptable if that closeness was achieved in volume 1, I would have understood even for a little 'If' they had done it in volume 1, other than that moment, Ruby spent a lot more time with her team and likewise with Jaune (Who has been trying to chase Weiss, silly really.). Getting close at a shipping level, then it would be unfair if you think about it. Pyrrha just died and confessed just right before the event and a little time skip cannot easily heal with new love. I would think it as a cliche save, whereas the development is either sudden, out of the blue, or a fan service but I'd doubt the last one. Ruby can/could be with anyone else even though it hurts for me to say that, just not Jaune in my opinion. I just really like seeing the 15 year old girl being good and close acquaintances with the 17 year old Jaune. I take it you like the ship?

Well maybe. I'm never really sure about these kind of things while I watch shows in general, but I just couldn't help but notice the few moments where Ruby and Jaune did have major interactions between them (if you can call them that). Ruby encouraged Jaune when he was being bullied by Cardin in volume 1. Also I noticed that they both have a lot of traits in common when it comes to meeting new people and they both can be unaware to certain things happening around them (like Jaune being oblivious of Pyrrah's feelings early on and Ruby not knowing what polarity is or her having a tough time understanding people whose backgrounds are drastically different form her own like Weiss and Blake). Finally The very first person Ruby met at Beacon academy as a student was Jaune and vice versa. It might be just me but I think there might be some potential chemistry between these two. I agree that it wouldn't make sense for a major development to takes place right after Volume 3 but I honestly think that it wouldn't be too much of a stretch if they ended up dating at some point in the future probably few years or several years later.

I've noticed, and don't worry about it. While it could have grown from there, its so far just a major moment of two of a talk, the same magnet of traits and just tiny moments whereas Pyrrha and Jaune had built a massive one. Visible already that I myself dont have to think twice that these guys are good together because they help each other out the best way they can, though with Jaune being oblivious so very very much, she supported Jaune. She taught him how to fight, stand up to foes, and even prepped him up to any situation possible. Jaune on the other hand I'd point out again the dance in the party, the willingness to return the favor and the kindness of treating her for who she was instead of being the world known champion. Those moments aren't even so little anymore. Even if it wasn't Jaune and Ruby first meeting and it could have been any really, then I guess it wouldn't mean that it was a moment to actually highlight that it is something to bud for, but rather how the relationship was built, that is why I see WhiteRose and Arkos as they are. And other ships but that'd be a different topic.
So I thought in a way that it was right to ship them. Disappointing yet again that the other is gone, but still a good plot and strong emotions were poured. Now if Ruby and Jaune would date at some point (because perhaps I can agree to the potential), I guess it'll just take some time for me (And all the other people who shipped differently) to adjust and accept the fact it was a part of the story and how it was meant to be fleshed out. Exceptions would be made entirely, considering the time skip, but I want to really doubt that the time skip would take too long.

Panel 1 should have been written: "Score 1 for Ruby" or "1 point for Ruby"
Panel 2 :" Score 1 for Weiss" or 1 point for Weiss"
other than those two things everything else flows nicely. good work keep on practicing.
