I was on a press tour onboard in New York City in 1978. I met the captain and walked throughout he entire vessel from bow to stern including the engine room. Beautiful vessel. Sorry to see her go but big ships don't have long lives.

I am a BIG ship-buff. I cannot belive this!!! That liner is the one of the two connections I have left to the Great Ocean Liners as well as the Sixties. The other is the original Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA.

Yet, you,ve said it alright, MAY SHE REST IN GLORY!!
