Description This massive 8-wheel drive truck was first designed by the Oshkosh Corporation in 1981 with the intention of replacing the M520 Goer. By the following year, the HEMTT had been fully introduced; and by 2019, over 35,000 have been built. It carries a crew of 2, utilizes a 515 hp diesel engine, and can haul payloads of up to 10 tons, with a max speed of 62 mph to a range of 300 miles. Several versions of the HEMTT exist, most of them are for supply purposes; operating as tankers and flatbeds. Other variants carry cranes for construction, others function as tow trucks, and some models are even outfitted with missile launchers. This truck is used the militaries of many nations such as: the United States, Germany, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Brazil, and Greece.
