I assumed this shot bigass STAPLES...
Seriously, make it shoot 5" staples. The clip would be 2x longer I guess. 2x stacks of 5" 'staps', about 10 deep. Pin dogs, people, aliens, and zombies to trees and building and shit.
Yeah..."Send a clip of staps downrange and then fallback, Rodriguez!"
"Every fight, a goddamn circus, eh Sarge?"

Has James Bond come up with such a weapon? "cuz that would be really sweet! I kinda thought "Harpoon of the future, but it's too sophisticated for such a silly name Very nice.

Sweet!! I like this one a lot. Hmmm, a Chemical Explosion and Magnetic Acceleration, huh? Reminds me of the Charge pistols, in d20 Future, except there isn't an magnetic acceleration, as much as an electromagnetic and electrochemical propulsion, that covers the round in white hot plasma. I love the design. Reminds me of the works of Langdon Foss, whom I'm sure you;ve heard of. Question: Where can I purchase sketchbook pro, out of curiousity. Seeing what you can render with it, makes me curious to experiment with it. Also, from a military standpoint with a weapon like this, Weapons like this, would be best suited against armoured targets, because with armoured targets, there is at least some surface tension provided by the armour, to reduce impact trauma. As your aware, projectiles that are moving at near relavisitic or at extremely high velocities, do tremendous amounts of damage against unarmoured combatants. This would be very bad, if you wanted to merely disable said unarmoured target. But, in situations were it is the only armament you have readily available, a shot to the leg or to an area where the damage can be repaired through accelearated tissue growth or cybernetic prostheses replacement, it's better than just throwing your rifle at your opponent, with the hopes that He or She isn't gonna catch the weapon or pick it up and use it against you. Overall, I love the design. Very sleek and utilitarian.

as for sketchbook pro, check out [link] (was made by alias, now autodesk) for a 30 day free trial. i love this program to death... and once you map "spacebar" to your stylus and wiz around your canvas, you can't go back.
and as usual, you know way too much!!!
thanks for the time you took on this puppy

Yeah, that's just me though. I spend a lot of time reading stuff on advance technology and the application of advance technology in pracitcal situtations and the like. I personally blame Shirow and Ghost in the Shell, but I love his stuff to death. And you're welcome!! ^_^
