This is the new promotional artwork The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the Nintendo 3DS, depicting Link, the other characters, Hyrule and Lorule (on the water's reflection). The game is set to be released on November 2013.

It has been revealed that the Dark World of A Link Between Worlds is an alternate kingdom known as Lorule, in which the Dark-version of the Triforce is found. A counterpart of Zelda from Lorule is Hilda, who is the princess of that world. Lorule was a world just like Hyrule but had fallen into decay and became the Dark World. Hilda needs a hero who can put an end to its awful curse.

Link can go to the Light World or the Dark World by Becoming a Drawing and go through a strange portal on the wall. The story occurs hundreds of years (centuries) after Link's Awakening in the Downfall Timeline branch.

In theory, A Link Between Worlds's connection with Skyward Sword may not be considered but is most likely a possibility. A dark inverted Triforce appeared in Skyward Sword on the Anti-Master Sword, and Lorule is where that Triforce is found. It's quite a possibility that Lorule and the Demon King Demise are connected somehow.

Funny story, Hyrule and Lorule are very similar names but mean the opposite. What is the opposite of "high"? The opposite of high is low. Lorule is a "lower Hyrule". "Lo-" for "Low" and "Hy-" for "High". "Lower Hyrule" is an inverted world like the Demise's dark Trifoce, thus naming it "Lorule". Interesting, isn't it?
