I tell part of it in the next page, but to give more detail: It's based on the Ariadne from Greek mythology. It was a character I created for a game so she wasn't the same, but the inspiration was there.

I see... oddly though I know the anime and I know the mythological figure to some degree because Ariadne is the persona of one of the characters in the persona 4 arena games... if you want to talk more about it let me know

in the world of persona but predominantly in persona 3 and onward, there's a corporation ran by a familiy called the Kirijo group... the character in question was created by this group and is named Labrys, she's a humanoid robot who can use a persona to eliminate shadows which are the primary enemy in the persona games... her classification is that she's an anti-shadow weapon as well as her "sister" Aigis... these two humanoid robots are the last of their kind.Β 

Persona is the power to manifest your personality into a tangible form and grant you supernatural abilities and your persona usually manifests as a figure from mythology or history, but only under the right conditions. like during the dark hour in persona 3, inside the T.V world in persona 4, or inside the metaverse in persona 5.Β
