Such a great pose. always exceptional paint work. I'm interested in knowing why you chose to color him so light, as opposed to the darker tones. After coloring so many godzilla images myself lately, choosing the right color schemes was tricky every time. Just curious.Β

In the movie, he was so dark, and I wanted to brighten him up. Β He looks less bright in real life. Β I have pretty strong lights on him here. Β The lights at G-Fest are low, so I am thinking of that as well.

I was going for a bit of a crocodilian look, it has Browns, grays greens, hints of purple, with tan, yellow orange on the underside. Β With the explosion of course I had a lot of warm reflections..
