A West Kenji kit that came with a base and a Minya.Β I am painting Minya now, and I will put them all in a diorama with Gabara soon!Related content

Great job man! Its cute. It looks like the 67 suit. Either way, still love both the 67 and 69 suits.

I thought they were the same suit? Anyway, the kit says it is 69 so I went with that

Nope, they were different suits. Anybody is free to correct me if I'm wrong, but my buddy told me that the '67 suit was made to resemble Minya. As a result, the suit was too large for Haruo Nakajima to wear so they had a different suit actor for Godzilla in Son of Godzilla. Then the year after, the '68 suit was made so Haruo Nakajima could wear it in Destroy All Monsters. After that, they used the same '68 suit for 1969's Godzilla's Revenge, 1971's Godzilla vs. Hedorah, and 1972's Godzilla vs. Gigan. Haruo Nakajima retired after Gigan, along with the '68 suit. Since the suit was used in 4 movies, the suit was beaten and falling apart. In Gigan, you can actually see pieces of the suit fly off while Godzilla is fighting. Since you are building and painting this, the diorama will look awesome no matter what! Can't wait to see what it looks like.

I see...Β Well, when people do SD kits that is an odd interpretation, like a cartoon version or caricature, so it is hard to know subtle differences like that.Β But anyway, I believe this is supposed to be from Godzilla's Revenge.Β Here is the Kaijukits Database link for all the Godzilla 69 suits, both are West Kenji SD kits:

The kit said it was a 69 which was Godzilla's Revenge, right?Β 67 was Son of Godzilla, but I could see the kits being used for either, I believe they used the same suits.
