Here is my new pet Blue Lobster, Derpy. The pet store told me his name was Derpy, he was named that because how he got around funny since his last molt where his legs all fell off, and have since grown back. I hope he will be happy in my aquarium. He is about 3 inches long now, and has a good personality.

doing fine, started house hunting w/ my bf...housing market here is INSANE. really starting to feel the pressure but I know I shouldn't rush either bc impulsiveness is bad...but damn, I don't know how young couples/families can move on w/ their life when cost of a home goes up by 100k every year T_T

I hope you find the perfect house for you! I am glad we took our time to get ours, it was our first home and we plan to stay here til we die. Everyone always said get a bigger one, but now the kids are gone, it is just fine.
Work has been insane. I woke up at 3:30 AM to go in today, and last night I was there until almost 6 PM. And no one will do their job or help me out...
I am about to go out of town for a worthless business trip..ugh.

awww that sounds brutal!!! 3am!!! >_< I do a bit of work on weekends for certain projects but never later than 10pm or for more than an hour or so
my company just got bought out, so I'm basically just waiting until April to see how things change :S
that's awesome you found the perfect house! we ended up getting a new development condo bc the houses were just too expensive and the bidding wars destroyed us ....but I'm okay with starting off w/ this condo bc it's REALLY modern, and we got a relatively large one and it's just us two for now, so we're happy

Congrats! I hope you love it there! Our company was bought out in 2014, and the hardest thing is changing all the documents to get the old name off, they were hiding everywhere! lol

Yes, he is, but the pet stores call them blue Lobsters, they get about 6 inches long.

I've kept wild caught crawdads in my tank.....they're great little scavengers until they get too big!

I had a crayfish myself once, though not that particular color variant. His name was Ebirah and his favorite lair was a plastic human skull I kept in his tank. At night, he'd crawl out of one of the eye sockets to hunt goldfish, sometimes admonishing them in the sockets and pulling them in. They really are cool little bugs and are great pets...And snacks in the case of those bred for human consumption.
