He's mad cos the scene where he was to fight Navy jets got canned cos the military didn't want to look weak. And that actually happened. Makes me mad cos just that scene woulda improved the film alot for me, even making up for the repeated jerking the chain Edwards did with not giving us any real monster action till the end. As I've said to you before, I like the film but I maintain its very flawed. Some of it is Edwards and Borensteins fault, but the jet battle debacle wasn't their fault.

Nope. The intent was to present him more like the Heisei version than how he finally wound up. The script had him fight Navy jets at Alcatraz on his way to San Fran, but the US military said they would pull their co operation in the film if the scene wasn't cut, as they didn't want to appear weak to our enemies. Cos a imaginary kaiju wiping out jets in a sci fi film would embolden our enemies you know. That's also why you don't see much military action against him in general. The military claims that it was to not make Godzilla look pathetic, since they claim in reality they would easily kill him (?) So they don't do much. Really though its all cos Godzy was gonna fight the military more and they didn't want that. Really silly to me.

Aww it's okay, and your movie was good. In fact you earned a sequel, heck the whole reason why Shin-Godzilla was made because they liked your movie so much that Japan wanted to get back into making them again. And hey look on the bright, if Kong is good, Then that means we might get that Godzilla VS King Kong rematch!
