I SWEAR I never liked elves. Well, I do, but not from Tolkien's side.But I gotta admit that the way they portrayed Thranduil conquered my heart. And of course Lee Pace has A LOT to do with that. Although in this picture the guy looks like everybody but him... LOL
Quick sketch, kinda spoilerish yeah, but whatever.

I'm the complete opposite, I've always loved elves (just not the little elves that are usually depicted as Santa's helpers).
Have you ever read the Dragonlance novels? I first fell in love with the lithe, tall, powerful elves of the fantasy fiction realm when I started reading my first Dragonlance novel.
I think this sketch looks like Pace, accurately so

I never liked manga-style drawings (I just spot here a refference to manga or just, you know, not to a usual drawing) but I love this one. Contrasts and shading is great. All is great.

Oh god I love Lee Pace's Thranduil. He's just amazing. Made me actually LIKE Thrandy whereas I really disliked him in Tolkien's books.

i have to admit, i enjoyed that part in the movie. When it showed a reveal of his true self, and that he simply used a guise for his beauty, it is something very elfish todo, and i loved the way they pulled it off in the movie. And actor pulled off the pain and anger so perfectly as well. Great sketch!

Actually on my part I've always like elves but unlike tons of my friends who where in love with Legolas, my favorite Lord of the Rings' character was Aragorn, of course I used to say no one compares not even Legolas and no one ever will !Β
But when I saw Thranduil (on top of that it was on 3D IMAX) I was totally captivated like bewitched and the unexpected happened... sorry Aragorn T-T
And yeah definitely, Lee Pace indeed had a lot to do with it <3 fufu
