Thank you, friend
Isn't it great to find something amazing somewhere you didn't except to find it?

Solar system.. Now when you say it, yeah.. Like those 3D holograms what you see in sci-fi movies. ;D

Oh sweet! That's what I really appreciate - people really using my works as something like that. That's why they can be downloaded on full HD resolution without watermarks and other crappy things.

how do u get that awesome light effect?

LehdaRi In reply to tugaknight [2010-03-22 21:50:40 +0000 UTC]

Thanks.
Do you mean the glow effect or the highlight?
Glow is mostly made with GIMP and the highlight is made with radial_blur variation.
Glad you like it ;D

Actually I set final colors and effects on GIMP on my works.
Although I don't call my works fractal manipulations as long as the editing is just color/blend mode or simple filter(like blur) based.

Huge thanks for the and !
Greatly appreciated!

i confess to a little bit of editing on a few, but I use PS and PSP, depending on the effect i want. I started with Apo, but switched to UF early on. I like the playability more. i just couldn't seem to make Apo do what I wanted it too, tho that may have been the dinosaur i was trying to run it on!

LehdaRi In reply to sanguinlover [2010-03-22 14:53:01 +0000 UTC]

Hmm.. I've heard UF is closer to classic escape time fractal algorithms than Apo using flame algorithms. Maybe I should download the trial and check it out.
And yes, Apo uses pretty much hardware while rendering. How's the UFs rendering time? (For qood guality)

For 2048x2048 at 720dpi between 2-30 minutes depending on how many layers and effects. Most of mine are 2-4 layers, and take about 3 minutes.

but it also depends on your pc speed, i have a new 3.3 dual core. on the old one, the same four layer fractal would have taken 10-20 minutes.

I'd really love a hyperbolic3D variation, but I guess it's impossible to make since hyperboles are 2D themselves.
Anyhow, that's your first great outcome! The tridimensionality gives it a whole another look and the add of colours is nice as well. Experimenting is always good keep going!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LehdaRi In reply to heavenriver [2010-03-18 18:47:59 +0000 UTC]

Hmm.. Maybe hyperbolic3D wouldn't be that impossible.. I should take a look creating apo plug-ins..
And thank you. Experimenting is cool, yeah.

In case you develop one, tell me. I'll be glad to try another plugin.
Yay for experiments!
