This work is truly mesmerizing, and when you look at it once you can't look away.
First of all, I notice that the woman and the spider are drawn in different styles. The woman is a watercolor painting and the spider is sketchy. This creates a gorgeous contrast between the two, and gives each their own atmosphere which is blended together in one artwork.
You first notice the big picture and then go into details, like the woman's runny/bruised nose or the mechanics of the spider. This gives this picture a unique personality. It also makes this very interesting, like something you could look at for a while.
The artist makes very clear textures; for instance, you can easily differentiate between the roughness of her bloody knuckles and the smoothness of her hair.
I think this artwork is very well done. It looks wonderful and has a unique aura to it. The only thing I would say could be done to give a larger impact would be to make her shoulders down more detailed, however I understand it would be hard to work around the hands.
