I love the titleof this it is so fitting of you as well as the colors in the picture. I think these pictures would be fun for backgrounds and such at websites or even as a desktop. You know we all have our little niche we just love to photograph over and over, I think this may be one of yours
For me one of the things I can photgraph wonderfully, I really don't even "like" to photograph, and that is architecture and cityscapes at night. I for some reason sort of don't "like" those things though and don't make any efforts to shott them, that and it just seems almost too easy to get one of those overdone postcard pictures LOL I do like boats, and ships but only particular boats ie. fishing boats and big huge freighters or even the ferry (while riding it at sunset) at times. What I would really like to photograph more of is "people" but I am not really a peaple person and so its some sort of cruel joke on me that I wish to photograph something I am inept at photographing LOL It takes a special talent to get people to relax in front of a camera and even more talent to then get them to sign a model release afterwards LOL anywhos just poking in and was wondering what that sweet Norweigian girl was up to
I wish Norway wasn't on the other side of the globe LOL, I would really love to go to Europe someday and actually learn the names and geography of all the countries over there by you, poland Norway Sweden Switzerland, that whoel area fascinates me all the fjoiords and waterways and a bunch of countries I think are cities LOL well not quite that bad, but I bet you could fool me on one or 2 being I am so inept at European geography, wait I am going to go look at my globe behind me now
HOLY CRAP. Norway is wayyyyy North
you must freeze your ass off o up there
anywhos I looked at my globe and was pretty close on how I thought those countries were arranged just didn't realize how far north Sweden and Norway were
well I better let you go Bente I really hope you get well soon and are feeling better, I really enjoy your notes and you make my days so much better just knowing someone thinks warm thoughts about me somewhere in this world LOL
Sending you lotsa get well hugs and warm smiles
Joe

I wish I could LOL, I would probably not want to leave LOL, I feel like an alien in my own homeland. People are not so nice here, and we have so many social problems here its just despicable how we treat our own people, its not much different from how we treat treat other people and countries around the world, just replace some random country with a poor working class person and subsitute the military for the police and government agencies and laws designed to victimize those whom are least able to defend themselves... anywhos enough political crudm thank you for the invite, I wish I could.... but alas I am pretty trapped in my humble existence over here. I do live in a place that is a fake little Norweigian town named Poulsbo, we have a vikingfest and they always talk about eating ludefish, actually there is a place you can buy the stuff here LOL. Its al sorta a joke, american phony upper middleclass wannabe suburbia trying to be something they are not. There are some old salty "real" fisherman here though that are norwegian by heritage. Not the same as the real deal though I am certain anywhos it gives me something to daydream a wee about while I am pining my time away over here wondering and waiting in the empty air, you are such a sweetheart
Warmest regards and hugs to you always Bente,
Joe

Thanks so much, Joe!
I've actually used part of this photo as a banner on a website I'm running... so I agree with you.
It's strange you don't like to take the photos you say you do best, but perhaps you need something more challenging to get some kind of kick out of it?
I like to photograph people too, but I think it's kind of difficult... and I'm no good when it comes to studio shooting. Lights, backgrounds etc. I don't really have the equipment needed, but I like spontanous portraits outdoors.
Norway isn't really that cold, because we have the golf stream. The winters can be cold, of course - but not that bad - at least not in the Oslo-area. You should definitely come over and visit, I think you would enjoy it. I think the architecture is quite different from what you're used to. I'd love to show you Oslo, but I would also recommend visiting the western part of Norway. Fiords, mountains... aahh.. lovely!
So... come on over, why don't you?!
Good night, dear friend!
Hugs and warm smiles going your way...
