Description
This is primarily for and who seem to be having some trouble with it! I hope it helps some.THIS IS ONLY MY PROCESS for the program! In any sort of art you should think about things like colour and composition and anatomy and that is waaaaay beyond the scope of what I'm doing here.
Protip: do not use programmer red/blue/yellow whatever in large quantities because it hurts my eyes.
Uhhhh this is a random RP post. The dialog is kinda weird.

I'm so lazy on tegaki xP I may leave the skin white and sjust hadow it with gray when I color >_< Also I usually scribble when I shade (Is that a bad thing?).

There's a difference between "scribbling" and "hatching" I guess? I "scribble" sometimes but I'd never call it that, it sounds uncontrolled and like you're not doing it with a purpose.

8D Thank you! I actually drew with a damn TOUCHPAD before I got my tablet, that thing made the mouse feel like it obeyed mental commands or something. It took me months to get used to the tablet, but I like it a lot now!

The new comers. I know Lacewing, but I like the halflings style and everything lol its turning into a real party. Oh and the Boat is meant to get to the best entrance to the Under dark that Drea knows. Its not watched and easy to get to from and Island that only he knows about!

Arinae is suspicious of them both now, Drea's tried to get money on her (she has a grand total of TEN GOLD, he's going to be really disappointed) and Flan keeps trying to run away. :B

I'm playing him as he was about seven years before the point where he is in the game I play him in... much more likely to do things like jump on a ship with a bunch of drow for no real reason.

Nope, no layers, no blending, no eraser, no selection tool, and only Flash colours. It's very simple, but I like it.
Honestly, the simplicity has helped my speed for replying, if I had to fiddle with a lot of tools I'd probably get too nit picky with my work. The colour selection kind of blows but without putting in an eyedropper and palette, it makes it easy to get the same colour twice.

My main tip for you is to spend more time and put more effort into making your work read well. Your art on DA seems just fine but with tegaki (and tablet drawings) you seem to just sort of... scribble. :/
You won't get better at the tablet without a lot of work, it isn't some magic tool. I hated mine at first. Compare with the sketches in this drawing^ it's extremely hairy looking, one of the first things I did with the tablet. Buuuut it reads and I put a lot of time into it. To make your work be readable at first you might have to spend a lot more time than you're used to, but you'll get faster. You won't improve if you don't try.
I say this because I see you making a lot of simply lazy mistakes, like not ever using the very small brush and not shading in the background the entire way. Oh, as a hint, you can fill a tegaki background by drawing a line from inside to outside of the workspace and right clicking, but it works best in the upper left corner. Also right click to zoom... I didn't mention it here but almost all of these steps (past the sketch phase) were done at the zoomed level. This helps accuracy of the drawings a LOT.
Anyway, good luck. :/ I can't put all this in an OOC post so it's here. I can't reply to your stuff if I can't tell wtf is going on. You also might try to involve your character with everyone else's... you don't have to draw them at all, just speak to them more than "i hope I'm not intruding" because they're jerks are will be like "you are, get lost."

Well I've only really been sketching with the tablet for a little over a couple weeks. I haven't had it for very long. So I'm still trying to figure it out. Since it's a huge jump for me, from the fact that ALL my work is done with traditional pen/paper/ink sort of stuff to suddenly trying to use a computer for more than minor clean up after scanning.
LOL I'm one of Shin's friends, so I wouldn't be too upset when the character is a jerk. That's just how it is. I'm having fun anyway, and it's good practis. I can already see some improvement, mostly it's just feeling more like I'm painting on glass... I have to layer things and don't have the ability to smear out or smooth lines like I normaly would.

The painting on glass thing is hard but treat it like you would your traditional art: DON'T JUST SCRIBBLE. If there are empty areas in your colouring, FILL THEM IN. XD and use a background colour that doesn't blow out your eyeballs, white's easy but lazy. I'm spending like 20-40 minutes per reply and this is from a person who can do a completed figure drawing in five seconds. No, seriously, DigiPen makes you do this.
Effort will help you improve, if it helps you get your head around it, stop calling it sketching and call it drawing or painting.
