Description Started out as a request for a friend for a ak/galilesque weapon. Grew into this, which is not even close to what he had in mind. oops. XD

Anyway these are Special or Deniable Operation weapons, both compatible with subsonic caseless rounds. The top one in police white fires the 9x39mm round and contains an integral silencer. The bottom one fires the 5.45mm round and is compatible with a suppressor.

Been watching to many spetsnaz videos :/

really nice weapons... but how many rounds of 5.45 can be holded in a Bizon like mag ?

lemmonade In reply to IgorKutuzov [2011-01-29 03:57:17 +0000 UTC]

i feel like you could almost fit like 60 or 70 rounds in there

IgorKutuzov In reply to lemmonade [2011-01-29 09:04:41 +0000 UTC]

but it fit 64 rounds in the 9mm Makarov caliber... with 5.45 i think it will hold a bit more of 30...

no it's an SMG that fire 9x18mm Makarov rounds... just look at the size of the bolt
and also the the U type AK47 is called AKMSU

oh yea, the AKMSU is the one im thinking of, i thought the bison was a helical model of that, i never really looking into the bison the only inspiration i got from it wast hi helical mag and that was mostly inspired from playing to much killzone

heh i see... but no the Bizon is the SMG of the AK family... and SMG implies a pistol round...

To deal with the mag issue.
I assume 30 would be high. I would honestly bet only like 20-25 7.62x39 rounds would fit in here.

This design works great for short pistol rounds, It would not be as efficient with the longer rifle rounds. I would

I apologize for stepping in so late.
The PP-19 "Bizon", is a SMG developed by Alexi Dragunov, the son who created the SVD.
It has variants chambered in 9x19mm, 9x18(sometimes called 9MM Makarov), .380acp(9x17mm), and 7.62x25 tokarev.
the non-metric system of calibur labeling commonly refers to just the diameter of the bullet. Sometime people let too used to doing this and refer to metric labeled guns as just thee diameter of the bullet.

EXAMPLE
you can just say 7.62. It is most commonly associated with the 7.62x51 round, the most popular battle rifle round currently, like the M14, FAL, and innumerable hunting rifles.
I believe this is a poor habit, because there are numerous rounds that fire a 7.62 lead.
7.62x54R
7.62x51
7.62x39
7.62x25
There are more.
Now a simple mistake can easily be made with this system.

TLDR; I think a lack of proper info confused you, not necessarily incorrect info, just not enough.
