Description
I went back and forth on how berserk to make that Boston's face. Believe it or not, I chose "less berserk". "Less berserk, more triangles on sweaters" was sort of my philosophy for this piece. Also I don't like drawing cities. Drawing cities makes me sad. I wish I filled the entire background with dog haunches instead, we'd all be happier now!
Watercolor & digital.

I adore your work!! How do you paint so cleanly with watercolour?

The short answer - itty-bitty paintbrushes! I've also switched to using a very smooth paper which really doesn't bleed at all. And thank you! : )

You're such a clean painter! It's beautiful! The dogs and the movement of the lines, ah so nice. And I think you did a beauteous job with the straight lines and awfulness that a cityscape presents!

Aw, thank you! ^^ Seriously though, every time I draw a line that looks straight on a page, when I scan it in I realize it's made of three bends and a loop-the-loop. Hehe.

Thank you! ^^ I do love drawing noses. I want to dream bigger though. Gigantic noses.

Oh, I hate drawing cities too. I always feel like there's not enough nature elements which hold life in itself. But they have their own beauty - I think you captured a bit of that with the variety of the houses, the clean sidewalk and the yellow leaves...I like that

Thank you! My favorite part of living in a city actually is when the trees that drop a thousand yellow leaves start turning - everywhere looks better with a pop of color. : )

That's lovely. It reminds me of MontrΓ©al. I used to live on Avenue des Γrables, and the atmosphere around that area is just like this.

Thanks! I visited Montreal once upon a time and I really liked it there. I love rowhouses.

Oh, that's a lovely buildingscape anyway. The pink door is superb. And I think I have his sweater.

Thanks! And lucky you - I used Pinterest reference for his sweater and I want it!
