"Frey! The sun is up and we should be as well." Vishnal's voice rang through your ears as usual as you woke up at 6:00 am every morning. Glancing at him, your current beloved boyfriend and butler, you smiled. "Good morning, Vishnal. I love you." Vishnal blushes, and replies, "I love you too, Frey." Leaving your bedroom to continue doing his work. You changed into your normal outfit, and walked out into the farm. There was work to be done.

After you finished tilling the soil and watering plants, you went back into your bedroom and ate curry rice, your and Vishnal's favorite food. You decided that you would also take a bath at the Bell Inn, to say hello to Lin Fa as well as Xiao Pai and to regain your lost stamina. You walked towards the Bell Inn, saying hi to Mr. Volkanon, who were discussing town matters with Kiel and Forte. Arriving at the inn, you paid Lin Fa and dipped yourself into the nice warm water. You sighed, the warmth of the warm bath water satisfying your aching muscles.

Thanking Lin Fa and Xiao Pai, you headed to Porcoline's restaurant, wanting to get some food for lunch. Upon entering, you met Dylas, who was wrenching a finished plate out of Porcoline. "Good morning, Dylas, Porcoline." You spoke cheerfully, making the two of them turn around. "MEGA good morning! Welcome!" Porcoline rushed over to say hi and hug you, with your rejection. Dylas merely said a quiet "good morning, Frey" and asked you if you wanted any dishes. You quickly ordered curry rice, despite having eaten it in the morning. Curry rice, you decided, had been you all time favorite, since it had brought you and Vishnal together.

After you had finished the plate of ultimate curry rice, you thanked and left the restaurant, while Dylas continued to wrestle finished plates of food out of Porcoline's ravenous appetite. Walking past the airship way, you went into the farm, and straight down into the hall, where Ventuswill (or Venti, as you preferred to call her), the divine wind dragon, lived.

Except… there was no Venti. She had gone back to the Forest of Beginnings, sacrificing herself to help you. You stared at the cold floor. Then you just stood there. Venti was your first friend. The dragon you would bicker with and share laughs with everyday. You just stood there, and you didn't know how long. The skies grew dark, the hours passed by like minutes, but you just stood there, with a blank expression on your face. A year has passed, and there was no sign of Venti returning. Everyone had resumed their normal lives, and some had not given up on finding her. You finally sat down, and closed your eyes. "Frey! Frey!" You could still hear Venti's voice echoing in your mind. You still remembered, no matter how hard you tried to forget things. You could not bring yourself to say goodbye.

"Venti, you must be watching us right now, right?" You glance up into the lapis lazuli sky, remembering the first day you fell through the ceiling and onto Venti. But now, you couldn't hold back the tears. They streamed down your face, with no resistance. "I wished that you were here now and forever… But that can never be true, can it?"
