Description
Another (terribly scanned and edited) PokeBubbles piece, featuring Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.I must admit, I'm a true fan of the first 151 Pokemon. Bulbasaur was my very first starter, so there's a very special place in my heart for it.
Who was your first starter? Do you prefer the older or newer generations? ^^
This was painted with watercolours then detailed with felt-tip pens and white gel pen.

Woot! Go Bulbasaur! My very first starter was actually Turtwig of Sinnoh (I got into the franchise late). Personally, I prefer the newer ones. Undeniably, my favorite generation is 5, Unova. It is the most creative, the story is fantastic, the music is excellent, it was challenging enough, and so many fun Pokémon that still make my favorites list today.
As far as your artwork, fantastic job. I can't, for the life of me, draw Pokémon and make it look good, without tracing. As usual, your colors and shading are all on point. I like on the areas where the bubble shine overlaps them, you have a dotted line to continue the form, but no color. I think Charmander is going to have some trouble staying in that bubble though, fire has a tendency to pop bubbles. Though, I can't help but see his bubble popping, him popping Squirtle's and then landing on Bulbasaurs and they all land on the floor in a cute Poké-pile.

Turtwig is super cute too~ But I think I chose Chimchar for that gen XD
I agree the stories become more interesting as the games continue, and new Pokemon are pretty awesome (while some are...questionable, haha)
Thanks for the feedback! I started out drawing Pokemon when I was young, so that's probably why I can draw them and other critters pretty well.
Poor Charmander and his open flame! But a pile of adorable Pokemon wouldn't be frowned upon!
