Bluff weta.Wetas are a type of cricket found only in New Zealand. They can't fly, but they can grow to big sizes. They are also rather difficult to draw.
I should also add - the circle will contain an illustration of some NZ flora, when I get some sort of reference guidebook on hand.

Booya! I love wetas. I love the colours on this blighter, and damn strait those things get big. cave weta's could make quite a decent meal XD
The grounds keeper found one at school once, and everybody starting going 'OOOOooooo' when I poked it (as 6-7year olds tend to do).

oohhh it's one of them giant bugs that go into suspended animation during the wintertime and then unfreeze when it's warm again and they just go about their business

Punikiki, the Pancake Rocks are pretty awesome. I have pictures of them somewhere.
Later this year I'm hoping to go to the zoo up north with the white tigers and white lion.

Yup, well one white lion. He's beautiful. There's a TV show called "Lion Man" about the zoo - which is called Zion Wildlife Park. I am very much hoping to go there and see the cats!

Great job on this! The coloring is excellent and the background, though simple, really adds a finished touch to the picture - plus the title made me laugh.
