Okay, so this one took me quite long... About a week, I guess x____X;;;My compy's too old for this kind of pics - Painter'd been dying on me all the time >o<;;;
But I'm somewhat happy with the effect... Hope you'll enjoy the pic as well ^__^=
Ah right, for all who wishes to know: Korean translation XD
-> the big red letters mean 'welcome' (hence the title >_o;;; )
-> the bishie says 'please come inside'... or something very close to that >_>;;;
Medium: lineart with pen, colours with Photoshop7 and Painter7, 100% mouse work

Very well crafted. From the choice of color harmony excellent use of the warm group with that very subtle touch added by having the reds complement in the reen of the leeves on the back screen. The line work is well laid out. There is a vibrence to the face. Hmm many many interesting aspects. The detail is exquisite.

Ok, i know everyone has said all of what i am about to say. Oh, well. Live with it! ^^
First of all, you did that with a mouse? Thank you. i am one of the few people out there without a Wacom or whatever, and i need inspiration. i'm afraid i'll never be able to do things like this, but then i see something like this and you say, "100% mouse!" and i know it can be done if i work very hard and try.
Second: Beautiful colours. i love them. You've got everything just right--down to the space where you can see the cloth of the robe underneath the belt.
Thirdly, DETAILS! i love them. They're all so.. there! Even if they're not consciously noticed, they help to complete the picture.
And, lastly, did you draw it sideways, or did you draw it and then tilt it?

the mouse work... well only the colours were done with mouse, the lineart was drawn on paper, then scanned (i wouldn't like people to think i did the lineart with a mouse - i'm surely not that good X333)
as for the angle.. i drew the pic exactly as it looks like, no tilting.

Ah, ok, still. The mouse work is no less impressive; it's still excellent that people can do that with a mouse!
As for not tilting it, i'm extremely impressed. i don't know too many artists who could draw at that angle and not cause the picture to look... off, sort of. Out of proportion. But you did it well; everything looks right.
