This is wonderful and perfectly fits with the theme. I'm really loving how the lighting and colours highlight the message.

Moją uwagę zwróciły kolory a dokładniej otaczająca postaci zielonkawa poświata, która wszystko wokół czyni nierzeczywistym. Dobry pomysł i świetne wykonanie.

great art, but tbh if this guy were standing around on the train staring at random strangers id be kind discomforted

Honestly I wanna try and explain how this makes me feel, but it would take an entire essay. There's too much history involved for a simple post. But this is gorgeous, and I really like the message that I get from it!

This is perfect, both the theme and the execution. And this is kinda sad, too, especially because the guy without gadget is usually an elderly and very ugly lady. With false teeth and speech impediments.
I have a pic to prove your truth: Lake Balaton Spectrum was a long exposurer shot, it took half a minute. I barely saw the angler on the pier and I expected him to move and that way disappear from the image. But he stood there almost petrified, poking his smartphone and built into my picture. It makes me remember the final stage of The Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke, with a slightly different view: Clarke missed the screen glows.
Thank you for sharing!

Gosh, this message absolutely hits me right in the heart. This should be on the front papers and why doesn't this go viral? I have a love-hate relationship with my phone, knowing I'm addicted, but I am aware of my phone usage. (downloaded an app tracker) This addiction of everyone makes me sad. :/ but I'm glad I'm not the only one concerned about it, because it sometimes feels like that. When I talk to other people about it, they look strange at me and wonder why it's a problem.
I'm writing a song about this subject. Here part of the lyrics.
Head's up
I'm dead for you
I don't care everything you say
I can feel your words escaping my head
I'm dead to you
my head's dropped down
my eyes are locked up in my screen
that's all I see

Here they call those people "Smombie" - Smartphone zombie...actually not they themselfes, but some people are aware of this problem...especially when they randomly stand still in the middle of a staircase. Maybe it's an invitation/desire of being pushed?
I'm really glad, I don't have a smartphone - just a tablet without mobile net, which i use only at home/work.

Be glad you don't need one, yes. Problem is, I need that thing for checking my train, listening music and calling. I do got a news app and instagram to post my art and you'll eventually end up checking those apps way too often...

Hm I'm pretty much old fashioned here^^ Got a simple mobile phone for calls, an mp3-Player for music and maps and so on for trains^^' Everything else i do at home via computer or tablet. If I'm somewhere and helplessly lost, I often find someone to help me^^ Sure, it's nice to have one thing for all those stuff...but when I look at how the battery in my small music player lasts for a couple of weeks and in my mobile for at least a week...and on the other hand this "one for everything"-thing lasts only a few days at max...well my decision is pretty easy

This is so beautiful aesthetically speaking, not to mention having such a poignant message. As always love your use of values and colors, especially the overall painterly feel with soft edges and blending, makes everything appear more dream-like and really drives home the idea behind the piece, instead of only concentrating on the visual aspect. Also last but not least the contrasting color and lighting scheme are breathtaking.
As for the idea itself it's poignant and contemporary, not to mention also sad. I for one would love to see someone like that somewhere, it would be really refreshing and, looking at me like that, would probably give me the courage to approach him/her. Nowadays having a tablet I sometimes do the same as the "blue people", but other times I just do what i always did before having one, which is simply listening to music and looking at people. It's true I sometimes considered it a waste of good time to read or sketch but, seeing as I don't quite like doing things which demand my concentration among throngs of people but in solitude, I resorted to music and people watching instead. Which is still a form of ignoring people, just not so much. Besides, some years ago i actually would've loved meeting new people like that, simply chatting me up of a sudden. Nowadays, after realising how many people aren't actually interested in others but what they can do for them, I'm not so keen anymore. Growing older and jaded I guess

not just the message but the way you drew it is fantastic - I like that forced atmospheric perspective effect in close quarters and the way they almost reflect off of the floor. Very interesting effects.
