You can make our two distinct ears in the shadow, and there are no tuffs of fur in between them. This could still be a mew on he shadow, but I think it is a different pokemon for this reason that is influencing him.
The ears are also not rounded, so the pokemon could not be a shinx (there are plenty of other pokemon it could not be for that reason, but that is the first that came to mind).
