While this art is very well done, it's a bit odd to me that you she is the wrong ethnicity for the character. I think a big part of that is that Asuka's hair color paired with an Asian ethnicity looks pretty unnatural.

Wow incredible improvement. I love how you developed on your lighting, it makes the image so 3d and realistic. Also love the textures and how you are able to know the different materials just by how they look here. Well done, an inspiration for sure.

There is only one thing in here that is wrong and it is not the art work. You mis-spoke in the description. People would think the new one is the left even though it is the older version (if they did not at least look at the Post Date)

Your words: "I put them side by side, for comparison purpose, the one on the right in february 2010, the one on the left november 2012."

The one on the right is the new one not the old one LOL

I personally love the realistic feel of the 'right one'
Then again I prefer realism over everything

Keep this up you did a great job and again thank you for a realistic touch to Asuka, many more should follow in this direction for all of our favorite anime and video game characters. Not forgetting our beloved Comics and Mangas

Wow what a difference. The 2010 version is ok in a cartoon/comic sort of style but the 2012 one is so much more accomplished. The colours are great and your understanding of light has improved drastically. Congrats

Congratulations on the improvement, it's wonderful. I think you already had the textures for the outfit right in the first but the face in the second pic is really great, (I like the softness of the original but enjoy the more realistic one on the right too). Great work!

the more mature features suit her well...according to Eva 3.0, she's 28 now...great job once more!
I still like how in the first one she's gazing at the onlooker...it's more expressive I guess.

They are both excellent! But no offense, I like the older one better... for a couple of reasons: She seems 'cuter' (as my wife put it when she saw it) in the older one.. and the eyes on the new one are... strange. I can't quite put my finger on it...

The technical prowess of the new one is fantastic, but the style and simplicity of the old one is what I personally prefer. Please take no offense, just my opinion.
