Description
Long time since I last uploaded anything on DA.I decided to paint a Rogue, from the X-Men, in a pinupish style, and here it is.
Tried to use a technique a little bit different than the usual. I like how it turns out.

Wonderful work! And I love that you used her Lee-era costume. Now if I could just figure out how you manage to get such smooth and even tones.

I love the way you draw hair <3 I'd like to see a tutorial of how you do it (just the hair). As for the rough texture of this drawing, how are you doing it? do you use a layer above the other ones and give it a "disolve" style? or how?!

Thank you!
About the hair, i just paint it like all the rest, the volumes, shapes and all. Someday when I have the time I will think about making a tutorial for that. But really, there's no big secret, it's painted like all the rest.
And what do you mean by the "rough texture" of the painting? Perhaps it's just the brush strokes?

Thanks, I can't wait to see the tutorial .
And about the rough texture, I think the brush strokes are the answer
I'm kind of new in digital drawing (my drawings so far are traditional, mainly) and I'm just figuring out some stuff about drawing in photoshop. Unlike traditional, drawing in photoshop takes more time because of the retouches (right?). It takes even more time if you're a newbie (like me), so, like I said, I'm just starting to get it.

I think it's faster to paint digital, lol. But I guess it takes some practice. But knowing how to paint traditional is a HUGE step when painting digitally

Yes, it's important knowing to paint traditional, thow I can't seem to find the same feeling I'm having when I'm using watercolors or colored crayons, when I'm drawing in photoshop . I don't have the same interaction with the "canvas" as when I'm drawing on it in a traditional way.

they're different media, it's ok to feel uncomfortable at first once you are used to only one of them. But don't give up, eventually you will get the hang of it.

Outstanding job. The colors and lighting are fantastic. Her face is so real and yet so stunning and exquisite. I love the sense of texture you give the leather jacket, too.
