Here's a tutorial for the rock tile I created. The tile itself could probably be a bit better, but I think I've stumbled onto a pretty solid process that should yield nice results. Comments are welcome.

its a great little trick, wonderful for giving games a nice painterly feel without pouring over a tile set for hours in paint.
