Description Mr. Sniper is only about 3/8-way there. Gonna delete this once the sheet is completed unless someone gets value out of a full-scratch demo.

[babble]
-48x48 px

Animation Process:
-Started with two desired poses (CRIT and IDLE). CRIT was unfinished because I wasn't sure if a certain motion was going to end up putting his foot or whatnot in a different spot (and cloaks/capes always gives me trouble).

-Cheated and used computer's rotation to get desired rifle movement

- Placed reference pixel and tweened/copy-pasted his head.

- Placed reference pixels (knees->elbows->waist->L-hand->feet) to anchor what sort of movement I wanted for each joint (arcing [elbow, orange leg] or sliding motion [hip, head, pink leg]).
That orange slap for his hand is because I wanted the rifle to drop via gravity on a foward animation, and snap back by a hand motion on reverse.

- Checked both 1-2-3-4 and 1-2-3-4-3-2 cycles for smoothness (pretty much constantly).

- *currently* Filling in main forms with single distinct color.
The pink foot reference point seems off right now based on the way the knee moves, but might still be OK.
Also looks like I will have to change the base idle animation since the rifle's magazine should be lower than where it is (that square on the rifle right above his hand is mistake since he's gripping the rifle where the magazine really is.).

- From there I'll save a copy and do the same sort of process for the cloak, then the same thing for the regular ATK.

-Actual attack animation for both is going to be pretty minimal, since it's a sniper. Gun-twirling and a massive recoil seems more a pistol/cowboy thing.

[end babble]

Q's:
- Laser or bullet? Current plan was to use a laser-charging action to make the critical look critical, and use a bullet on the regular ATK so someone change it to their liking.
- Never did a mod before but would like this to be a resource, so are there any limits I need to follow? Any change requests?
-Any comments / anything else?

Awesome work! The animation is really flowing. Can't wait to see it complete.

I'm sure you will be able to do so.

DAAAAAAAMN!!!! This looks good!!

Quick question: How do you do your rotation?

Thanks ^_^;

I use numeric rotation on the original each frame, and (finalAngle-initialAngle)/#frames = degreesInAStep (at constant velocity). Pretty much every art program but MSPaint has it in their toolset somewhere.

What program do you use to sprite? Mspaint or something else?

iDraw3. It's lacking in layers and color-editing, but is easy to work with mouse/tablet-only.

So can you rotate it easier with it?

Getting the rifle's odd angles was easier with the rotation tool. (I think that's what it and it is asking for?)

Tried the program. I think it'll take sometime to get used to that program

Yeah, it's an old/sometimes buggy system. Lemee know if you want any tips with it.

So far it looks AMAZING! I thought it was finished when I saw the animation (got fooled there for a sec )
I think bullets are fine but you can do whatever you want, or make both if you want as well!

Heehee, sorry to tease, thanks for the compliment though. The finished sheet is still a week out (10~15 hours) probably.
