Pomni has become one of those characters that really put me in the mood to practice a bit of emotional sequencing.

This is likely the closest I've come to "filler" content. And by "filler", I don't mean like an "I'm not proud of this" kinda piece, but more like a "highly experimental and unrepresentative of my general body of work" kinda piece.
Yet another attempt at longhand digital sketchwork. Most everything prior has been traditional [sketchwork], and I am slowly getting more and more comfortable with digital [sketchwork]. I don't wanna phase out traditional completely, but I do wanna utilize both a fair amount.

I don't think I've ever publicly posted a piece this way, where a colorized version of the rough sketchwork on it's own is what I've decided to post.
I had considered "completing" this in polished linework & shading, but I ultimately decided to leave it in an almost "animatic" reminiscent format. Mostly due in part by the sketchyness lending itself to a Pomni breakdown scenario pretty well; like the poor little jester girl could spontaneously abstract at any moment. It gives off an almost tactful and organic nature, accentuating both the grit and the heart-wrenching nature of a depressive mental breakdown. The dissolving background gradient was also fun to come up with.
On top of all that, this was WAY quicker to pump out than I'm comfortable with admitting XD. Comics have always been something I've been fascinated with, and share with y'all to see what you think. Imagine what the 'Equestria Girls' or even the 'My Hero' characters would look like in this style 👀
