Been having a lot of fun doing these crossover pics…
Like Shantae, I try to select the likeliest of candidates for inclusion in a piece in involving Toon Link, and by extension, sporting the Wind Waker artstyle. And who else happens to be a magic wielding, realm traveling, monster slayer?
Enter, Star Butterfly from Star Vs the Forces of Evil.
Not a video game character, I know, but she fits in in every other right. I’ve always liked her character design, and she really does blend in well with Wind Waker in general. A minor detail I enjoyed utilizing were the irises, which is something that most of the Rito tribe have (Medli in particular has irises), so I went ahead and carried over the irises from Star’s show design, rather than blackened her eyes completely, which I commonly do for Toon renders.
I have not seen SvtFoE in its entirety, so please NO SPOLIERS.
