Tried out a new colouring style.I made a gradient for the lineart but as you can see, when I change the .tiff image from Photoshop to a .jpeg, it seems like the gradient becomes butchered into mediocre, ugly lines that seperate the colours... Ah wtvr, too lazy to figure out how to fix the problem.
Credit to brushes used for the clouds, butterflies and sakuras.

TIP: after you apply the gradient, put a couple pixels of noise over the gradient and use a layer mask to blend it over your transition to white. Set the noise layer to "multiply".

Oh wow. I'm really digging this. However, I have to say, the dog kind of takes away from the image/woman who your main focus should really be on. It's still great though, none the less. I love the mood the reds give to it.
Oh, and I've always been wondering, but how do you get the lineart itself to have a gradient?

Yeah the dog had to be there though it was based on this book/theme, and there were dogs.
Okay! ^__^ Quick explanation on gradient lineart.
First I scan my drawing and I put it on Photoshop, then I always make a separate lineart layer and I go over the pencil lines with the ink/pen tool. Now that you have your lineart in a separate layer, delete the pencil work and then right-click the lineart layer and go into "blending options." From then, play with the gradient tool and the other tools that are available until you get your desired effect.

Yeah actually the butchered gradient only appears on my old screen and it looks fine and blended on my new screen. I'm hating the computer screens.

Yeah I decided to try new ways to colour. Kinda tired of spending 200 hours on a drawing 'cause it requires so much blending.
