You don't usually have to ask permission to feature something as it's a showcase. It's like being put your picture in my journal and saying 'Look at this, it's awesome'. A feature has never required permission as far as I know and most people are flattered. I don't take credit for it and it's direct link to your artwork. It's just a thumbnail or your picture that people can see on a feature. I've just rambled. But you're the first person to get angry about their art getting attention especially as you're the only to benefit.
