Description
this piece is MASSIVE D: biggest digital canvas i've ever used.so much detail, as well.
N'evaliah
The swans are used as messengers LOL LYK HARI POTA. no.
The school is for women only. The students are chosen at the age of 15 and spend 3 years within the castle (which is built among the mountains of the north, and protected from strangers by the harsh conditions and ice labirynth's that surround it) where they learn to channel magic. At the age of 18 they are sent to the oldest city, home to the wisest people, where they learn about history, geography, the world and everything in it. At 20 they return to the school where they complete a final test before becoming Channelers.
see if you can find the little rodent that is scampering around the books

oh lena. this is stunning. like honestly, i look at your work and i am always amazed and the high quality of detail there, the great amount of emotion captured. just gosh, everything you do, its beautiful. you just keep getting better and better. it makes me want to pic up a tablet and start drawing digitally instead of traditionally. haha.
hmm. i guess if i could only make ONE suggestion. ionno having taken now like multiple art classes at scad now, in 2-d design we learned about composition and all that shit and knowing where to put most of the emphasis on. im assuming the main subject of this picture is N'evaliah but my eyes seem to be drawn a little bit more to the biggest swam only because sh stands out so much against the blue background. maybe by making her white a bit more subtle by mixing light blue in there it would redirect the eye better and keep that easy flow of the image. but thats just my own little opinion. everything else, beautiful.
i would looooove to see some close-up screenshots to see more detail.
and i was convinced for a while until i read the description that each book was individually drawn. i was like homegirl has a whole lotta time and patience on her hands.
much love.

very good suggestion, i wasn't sure of what was wrong until you pointed it out next chance i get i'll fix it up
screenshots are on the way, baby! they're not nearly as impressive as the full view because the actual picture is pretty messy... but i'll post them up just for you
ho no. i do not have ANY patience. lulz.

I SPY A BROWN MOUSE.
Lena! this is so..wow! I would say amazing but that doesn't even sum it up D: I seriously have absolutely no idea how you have any time to spew out so much gorgeously detailed beautiful art in such a short amount of time, all the detail you put into everything is unbelieveable. I highly doubt you are one to do nothing but sit on a computer as well, you seem like a busy person. I havent a clue how you have such patience, i dont think I would ever have the patience to do such a big peice with such little details everywere. Despite you copying and pasting the books you can hardly even tell, I had to sit here and stare at them for 5 minutes to find one that looked almost exactly like the other xD You have improved so much in the past like 2 years, you just keep getting more and more perfect <3 I adore this, the folds in her clothes look so realistic, i expecially love her hands! You have such a realistic but painty style, and you incorperate your own bits of creativity into the realism of it so well.

aww jenta, you have a way of making me grin like an idiot
i do spend ALOT of time on paintings like this... a couple of hours a day for a few weeks. so.. even if it seems like i do them quickly, i take ages.
and normally they piss the shit out of me halfway through, so i stop them and don't pick them up again for months. i started this piece in like.. june, for example, picked it up today and finished it
half the time i want to delete pieces like this because they don't do what i want them to do.
thankyou so much my little pumpkin, i always appreciate your comments

I like commenting your work, it deserves more then some "kawaii!" or simple comments because I know those aren't very satisfying and don't say much at all. Well then! You sure do work a lot then, if I do start something I usually don't finish, expecially if it requires a lot of attention, which isn't good on my part. Maybe I just don't have as much passion for my own art as others do xD don't ever delete them D: I always want to see!
WTF i was wondering what those other things next to it were O_0 I thought maybe mice babies or something

mice babies LULZ xD
that's why i love you jenta, you make me laugh
i have alot of unfinished pieces that just sit in a folder gathering dust, never to be finished again. i try my hardest to finish what i start, considering that i normally have such a (far-fetched) vision of what they're going to turn out to be. but sometimes you just lack motivation in the end...
mostly i just get ahead of myself and start trying to draw something that i have no chance of getting right.
