Description Junicorn day 2, let's goo!
The Dragon Unicorn - Chapter 02The day was peaceful in Unicorn Glade, and its inhabitants were busy with their duties. Gallan with Slin on his back rode across the glade until he reached the edge of it, right next to the Tree of Birth. Before they entered, however, Slin flew up to the height of the unicorn's eyes and, staring at them, said. - Whatever happens, I'm with you Gal. - I know. But don't worry, everything will be clear soon. The unicorn send Siffa an almost convincing smile, and then together they walked through a wall of twigs that swayed slightly and reached down to the ground. Within the space of the Tree of Birth, the air seemed different than outside. Heavier and filled with something. The lush vegetation delighted with saturated shades of green, and the flowers spread a beautiful fragrance. It was also the quietest place in the whole glade, completely separated from the sounds outside the tree realm. The two friends headed towards the huge tree trunk, which seemed to get bigger with each step. They stopped at the foot of the trunk where they saw a fluid movement that stirred the hanging branches, then heard a soft voice that seemed to come from everywhere. - Hello, young unicorn. What brings you to the Tree of Birth? Gallan bowed deeply and replied. - O Tree Spirit, I come to seek your advice on some matter. Will you do me the honor of granting me a piece of your vast knowledge? - Those who ask for help in the Tree of Birth will always find it. - replied the Spirit. Slin rolled her eyes and said. - Oh, please, end this show already. It's the same every time. Gal smiled rakishly and lifted his head. - And it's just as fun every time. - he added - Hello Nefrail, nice to see you again. - And you too. Speak then, young unicorn. What is occupying your mind? - We have a silly question for you. - Gal lifted the wing with uncovered membrane and uttered a question that did not go through his throat so easily - Am I a Dragon Unicorn? - Yes. Somewhere deep inside, Gal knew what the Spirit was going to say, yet he felt as if his heart stopped for a moment and then suddenly sped up. There was no trace left of his feigned calm. - You knew about it all the time? - Yes. At these words Slin sighed softly, and Gal felt his anger growing once more that day. - And you never, during any of our conversations, thought it would be a good idea to tell me!? - As the Spirit of the Tree of Birth, I help the unicorns and give them advice when they need it. However, I do not interfere in your fate. Everything has its time, my dear. Knowledge and understanding come at the most opportune moment. - And you think this is most opportune moment!? After years of failing, being a disappointment to myself and who knows, maybe on the verge of going insane!? And even after… - Gal stopped suddenly as if not wanting to say something. - Then give me one of your advice, Nefrail. What now? I'm rather far from being a hero, so will I turn evil? From what I've heard, it's powers that corrupts Dragon Unicorns, so maybe it's better that I don't use it. - No! - Slin exclaimed unexpectedly. - I mean - she added quickly. - that's not the best idea either. Unicorns should not suppress their abilities. Especially Dragon Unicorns. Do you know the story of Drasan? - Gal shook his head negatively. - He failed to control his powers which found an outlet anyway. Before he was engulfed in flames, he uncontrollably burned most of the Eastern Forest, along with everything that lived there. In an instant, the unicorn was flooded with a wave of thoughts. He hated the situation without a way out, so he desperately tried to find meaning in all of it. How to master the powers and not go crazy despite using it? - Slin's right, Gallan. As for your questions, unfortunately I don't know the answers to them. However, there is a place where you can find them. The unicorn pricked up its ears more carefully. - You see, our Tree of Birth is not the only one in the Unicorn Forest. There are many. These Trees, like everything else, have a life cycle that ends at some point. As the Trees of Birth die they leave a piece of their strong magic behind, which transforms into something new. The place I am talking about is the remnant of one such Tree. A cave where unicorns supposedly find answers to their tormenting questions. - Supposedly!? - Gal noted. - Indeed. The roots of this Tree do not go far enough for me to get know this place thoroughly. However, I know that many unicorns have traveled there. Some came back changed, others didn't come back at all. - So, I would have to leave the Glade. But I've never been farther than the waterfalls. I'm not even sure if this expedition makes sense or if I'll be able to get there at all. What about the other Dragon Unicorns, couldn't they help me? - They haven't been seen for a long time, Gal. - Slin added. - We don't even know where to look for them. We… may not have enough time. - Then I'll try even harder. Practice even more! - Now we know why you're having trouble with your powers. Nobody here knows the magic of the Dragon Unicorns and cannot teach it to you. - Siffa said. - I'll find a way! - Gal replied - At least consider this journey. - No, don't ask me! I will not make it. Gallan was getting more and more nervous as he couldn't cope with the pressure from his friend. - Maybe it's the only solution. - she insisted. - Stop! - Why not? At one point, Gallan’s growing anger broke something inside him, but at the same time he felt a power rising within him. It filled his mind and body completely, like a familiar melody he hadn't heard in a long time. After a while, just as suddenly as it had appeared, it was out of control and completely overwhelmed the young unicorn. - Enough! - he shouted in despair. At the same moment, a pillar of fire emerged from his horn. Slin was right in its path. At the last moment, the branches of the Tree entwined around her and burst into flames themselves, protecting her from a terrible fate. Nefrail quickly contained the flames which tried to spread further. Gal stood stunned for a moment, then ran to his friend and began to examine her from all sides. - Slin I… are you okay… I don't know how… I'm sorry. - he said all shaken up. - I'm fine, it’s alright. - she replied, checking herself to see if that was really the case. - I'm sorry... I guess I should... Not knowing what to do with himself and not wanting the situation to happen again, Gal turned and ran out of the Tree of Birth.,
