Not sure what got me to do this picture. I was just chilling out in the living room reading a book on character design when suddenly I just felt the need to draw Two-Face. I suppose it’s because I realised I’ve never drawn him before, let alone try and put my spin on him. So I did a rough sketch and then immediately got to inking on the same paper. I honestly wasn’t expecting to be pleased with what came out. Even better once I got it into Photoshop to shade it.
I suppose a lot of this did come from the Arkham game series. Troy Baker was really good as both of them. I love his voice for Harvey especially. So soft and emotive, you really got a good idea on the type of man Harvey was before what Sal Maroni did to him. Also I like the idea of Harvey as a blonde. For various reasons, but mainly it helps to change him up from other characters like Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, Jack Ryder etc. I noticed plenty of comic artists who can only draw two types of faces: Male and Female. However, if you know me, you know I can’t stress enough the importance of a unique design in their features, shapes and build, not just relying on different clothing to differentiate them. I’ve certainly had my thoughts on how I’d draw Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent differently. I’ll do that another day.
I also like the idea of approaching Two-Face as a separate looking character from Harvey. I had a lot of fun making look as grotesque, insane and scary with my own approach.

Oh I think this is really cool...and very daring since I've never seen you do something so eh... 'icky' before? lol. I really like how it came out, Also like how the hairs on the damaged side of his face look quite fried. Poor fella. Also the eye so exposed there almost as if could fall out of the socket...really freaky looking but in an awesome way. This is really cool, also love the grayscale as I think it helps bring out the distinct depth of his wounds.

Yeah, definatly never tried anything this icky before. But it's always fun to experiment when drawing. It was great experimenting with the damaged features to make his bad side look evil and manic. Thank you so much! I must say I am rather pleased with this, despite how I wasn't planning on making a great piece.
