the idea here is that after the death of his brother Rino, Luzio and Janete hung around each other more since they both felt guilty about what happened. After nearly escaping prison time Luzio and Janete go out to a fancy cock tail party he was invited to. The joke is Janete is ok with going out to fancy places but after being a shut in for a while even after working for the two Don's she's not used to being around so many people and can't dance Luzio then talks her into it and she starts to enjoy herself. The desk jockey (yeah i know i spelled it wrong) joke was an inside joke, when Janete first started working for the mafia Luzio told her he would mostly stay in his office unless he needed to leave for something important to which Janete said 'It's like working for a desk jockey.'
