to remove the lines under the global menu gnome text must add this in the gtkrc:

gtk-enable-accels = 0
gtk-enable-mnemonics = 0

Whoa you have a new screenshot everyday? lol.

Looks good

I remember using that emerald theme with that same wallpaper. The emerald theme is cool but it was too "light" for my taste. I would have liked it if it had a darker shadow...

Awsome shot, Think im gonna stick with 9.10 wait For Ubuntu 10.10 & Gnome 3.
Quick tip if i may....in your globalmenu where it says "CD/DVD Creator" when you open a file in Nautilus, this can be removed and replaced with the more Mac like "File Browser".

Simply delete CD/DVD Creator from your Ubuntu Main Menu and add a launcher titled "File Browser" (or whatever you want to be displayed instead of CD/DVD Creator) with the command nautilus in the "Applications"-menu.

Reboot and all should be good.

No worries pal......Screenshot looks good
I dont see why you shouldnt be able to install it, i dont see much changing on 10.04 thats why im waiting for 10.10, it should be using Gnome 3.0 which looks great.

Can you explain how to do this in details?

I can't understand how to simply delete CD/DVD Creator from Ubuntu Main Menu...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Twentyeight-Ten In reply to eugene0an [2010-04-13 14:19:52 +0000 UTC]

1. Right click on your start button next to Applications and click on edit menus
2. In the new window click on Accessories the click on CD/DVD Creator Then Click delete to the right of it.
3. Still in the Accessories menu click on New Item on the Right.
4. Name it File Browser or whatever you want instead of CD/DVD Creator and put Nautilus as the command.
5. ReBoot and all should be fixed

This is how i cured mine.....good luck
