This piece is absolutely gorgeous!
I really like the colours you've used and the use of light.
I can't quite decide whether this creature is good or evil, and I actually love that!
It's up to the viewer to decide in a way, can we trust it as it appears sweet and adorable, or are the colours a red-herring.
I love to imagine it as a floating creature who uses it's crystals as a source of magic/power.
Overall I truly, truly enjoy this piece and I think the colours you have used are absolutely perfect!
