Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior, despite its somewhat childish name and 7+ age rating, is actually a *really* good series. The first two books are a bit meh, things start picking up steam in 3 and 4, and then 5 and 6 hit you with the OH MAN WHERE DID ALL THIS AWESOMENESS COME FROM and it becomes its own story, almost completely different from its Minecraft roots.

I beg you. Read this series (and also the spin-off, Tales of an 8-Bit Kitten. Same universe, same plot, very very different story.)
