- eclipse is NOT finished, it is NOT ready to be released
- there has been no news of what's going to happen with groups and this greatly unsettles me as an ARPG creator/player!
- the removal of CSS/HTML coding from journals, comments, and profiles COMPLETELY negates an entire sub-community of artists on
deviantart!! there are people here who sell coding as a commission type and you're tossing them to the side!!
- the user interfacing is difficult to use and takes forever to load (this is not due to internet - everything is too big and obtrusive). notifications are ridiculous, player profiles are cookie cutter and stale, everything is TOO BIG
- it's not easy to favorite anything anymore, you can't drag and drop, you can't organize
- WHY ON EARTH is stash writer being done away with

so many people have been talking about how reddit has an OPTION to use the old version of
the site or the new based on user preference -- WHY CAN'T THIS BE A THING FOR ECLIPSE

changes and updates are NOT BAD if you LISTEN to what your COMMUNITY WANTS and change FOR THE BETTER.
BUT STAFF IS NOT LISTENING. we don't want a new version of deviantart. you can modernize the design AS IT IS
give non-core members polls and profile customization if those are the highly requested features,
update the way the current site looks but don't RETCON everything about it!!

deviantart is NOT an online portfolio, it is a forum-based community of artists, it always has been
we don't want to leave!! many of us have been here for years, many more since we were very young
there is nothing else out there like deviantart -- that's why it has such a huge member base!!

The Sound Of Silence - DA StatementSo Eclipse is Coming
I'd like to organize a proactive event to show DA the possible results of a permanent Eclipse change-over. Instead of deactivating your accounts for good, or indefinitely boycotting the site, I'd like to make a Statement of Silence for those Users against Eclipse. Starting May 1st, I will not be active on Deviantart. I will not submit new deviations, journals or even visit the site for 3 Days time. From 12:00AM CST May 1st to 12:00am May 4th. (3 days) I ask all other Users who wish to keep old Deviantart to join me in this statement of silence.
Not Only Is Eclipse Difficult to Navigate, It is so close to Plagiarism it isnt funny. How they aren't in a Lawsuit with Artstation is beyond me!

So, for people that don't know the DA's team decided to make Eclipse permanent and retire the old version of the website, you read it right Eclipse, the horrible version of the website that no one asked or use is going to cancel the old DA, the one who we fell in love and joined with the heart full of hope to find great people and have fun.
What can we do to stop this before it's too late?
First of all, firm this petition, we are enough to achieve the goal of 500 if not more!
