Description
It's the beating of that hideous heart! Starting doing this and was reminded of Poe's "The Telltale Heart". I know it doesn't actually resemble the heart muscle, but it works for me.Related content

Interesting.
I like the contrasts and fluent pattern on the sides of the heart, it adds depth and impact to the piece.
My first thought when i read the title was "Poe" and this could very well be a good interpretation of something being emerged from the dark (just like his conciousness in the story) The monochrome colors works well but i could have wanted to see something else breaking the composition and balance.

I'm glad the Poe resonated for you. I'll admit it is extremely simple and low of frills but sometimes that's what's needed.

This is terrific! I thought it was the birth of a monster before I read what you'd written. A hideous heart is ace as well.

I have a feeling Freud would have some interesting comments about this image! Very interesting as I think it could be interpreted so many ways.
"The Telltale Heart" is one of my favourite stories, by the way. Nice job as usual!

Haha yes, I see what you mean. I guess that's what I get for dabbling in abstract imagery.
It is a great one, to be sure Poe created one of the finest traditions in horror.

Do "they" actually give back deposits on apartments where you live? I never experienced that as a renter.
