Description
Just above the mechanical link, in a vast rusted wall, one gets the slightest glimpse of blue skies. Done earlier tonight shortly after trying absinthe for the first time ever.Related content

Oh? I haven't read that book in like 11 years now. I do have the 1984 movie though

That film, and probably every film ol' Lynch made, should probably have a warning in the liner notes: DO NOT CONSUME IN CONCERT WITH ABSINTHE!

Hehe Lynch is my buddy. The one time I had Absinthe I didn't watch any films, I just went to sleep.

Excellent composition! reminds me a lot of gigers Passage paintings, and those are some of my favorite Giger art for some weird reason (Freud would probably have a lot to say about that hehehe). Absinthe are some weird stuff, never tried out the fabricated stuff, but me dad made a batch of homemade absinthe at one time (putting in the parts that have weird effects on the brain). Sure made my surroundings a bit more mystical in strange ways...

Thanks very much! Yes, I am a great lover of Giger's early art including those wonderful passages. Never mind the psychology
It would have been nice to get the real stuff, but what I got did have quite a kick. After the second glass I had to sleep

Oh my, i like this a lot. Shades of Magritte.
You did a great job on the foreshortening in a very small amount of space. I am thoroughly convinced that the coupling is coming towards me from the wall.
And more of those great textures of yours!
It's a sterling piece of work!

This grants a feeling of hope in an otherwise rusted and filthy world. It's simple but the compistion works, especially that ladder to the left it creates a little balance in the piece and the shape of the structure looks really interesting.
Did you know that real absinthe glow in the dark?

thankies.
Glows in the dark? yowza. I suspect this wasn't the realest Absinthe though since it was sold here in the states.

"Real" absinthe is illegal here in my country too for reasons. It's kind of green in color they say. You put some raw-sugar in the bottom of the glass before you pour the drink in, then add a few (drops) of water, wait about 3 minutes and drink. They say that drinking enough will give you halluciations, but appearently that is just a myth (not that i know of it)
I have drinked it once, it wasn't the real stuff but 2 shots was enough to keep me drunk for the rest of the evening. Never again i say.

You must set it on fire, melting a sugar cube into it, that's the proper way. Real absinthe contains wormwood, which is a hallucinagen, and laudnum, which is an opiate It can be got in part of Europe in its real form.

This is beautiful. I am drawn to the skies beyond the wall and the way you've painted it draws me even deeper.
The way the rusty wall looks is amazing.
Absinthe. Something I wish I could try but then again, I don't know where I can get some let alone be allowed to try it.
